Green Tide Energy ("we", "us", "our") is a lead generation service that connects homeowners interested in heat pumps with local, MCS-certified heat pump installers. We are not a heat pump installation company and we do not carry out surveys or installations ourselves.

For the purposes of UK data protection law, the data controller is BLC Promotions Ltd (company number 15178624), trading as Green Tide Energy, a company registered in England and Wales whose registered office is at High Trees, Westerham Road, Oxted, RH8 0EE. This policy explains how we handle the personal information you provide to us.

2. What information we collect

When you complete an enquiry form on our website, we collect the information you give us, which typically includes:

We rely on the following lawful bases under UK GDPR:

• Consent — when you submit an enquiry form, you consent to us passing your details to a matched installer so they can contact you about a heat pump survey. You can withdraw this consent at any time.
• Legitimate interests — to operate, improve and secure our service, where this is not overridden by your rights and interests.
• Legal obligation — where we are required to process information to comply with the law.

5. Who we share your information with

To deliver the service you have asked for, we share your enquiry details with a local MCS-certified installer matched to your area, so that they can contact you and arrange a survey. That installer is an independent business and acts as a separate data controller for the information once it is passed to them; their own privacy policy will apply to how they use it. We may receive a fee from the installer for introducing you. This does not add any cost to you and does not change the information we share.

We may also share information with:

• Service providers who help us operate our website and forms (for example, hosting and form providers), acting on our instructions;
• Professional advisers, regulators or law enforcement where we are legally required to do so.

We do not sell your personal information to unrelated third parties for their own marketing.

6. How long we keep your information

We keep your enquiry information only for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes set out in this policy, including matching you with an installer and any follow-up, and to meet our legal obligations. When it is no longer needed, we securely delete or anonymise it.
